Mum blown away after watching gang of teens approach woman

A mum had her ‘faith in humanity restored’ after she watched a gang of teens approach a woman in need.

Kinsay Smith, 38, from Wallasey, was walking along Magazine Lane towards the shop on Sunday, October 3, when she saw an upset woman sat down with her hood up in an alleyway.

After seeing she was on the phone, she decided to walk past and go into the shop.

After leaving the shop she saw the woman had put her phone down and was visibly upset and 'in a bad way'.

She noticed a gang of teenagers had congregated at the end of the alley with one of them approaching the woman to ask if she was okay.

Kinsay told The ECHO: "This group of teens went out of their way to stop check up on this woman and make sure she was okay.

"Maybe I was a little ignorant to leave her but I saw she was on the phone and didn't want to intrude on her conversation.

"But it just goes to show that not all kids are bad."

Kinsay later shared what she saw in a Facebook Group in the hope of reaching the children's parents.

The post read: "Don't know if allowed to post this but if these are your kids you should be absolutely proud of them.

"A lady sat down in the alley didn't look in a good state they went and checked on her to see if she was okay.

"Kids get so much grief these days for the bad stuff but not much mentioned on the good stuff they do. Well done kids."

The messaged was liked almost 1000 times and ended up reaching the parents of the teens involved.

Kinsay said: "They (the parents) were saying how happy they were to see the post and how proud they were it was their kid.

"They should be so proud of themselves. You see people posting about gangs of kids for bad reasons all the time, I thought it was worth sharing the good stuff."
