Mum blasted after giving baby taste of beer but hits back saying it's 'not harmful'

A mum who shamed for allowing her baby to taste sips of a beer has hit back saying it "isn't harmful"

The mum shared a picture to social media including Facebook and Reddit showing a little girl in a red t-shirt or dress appearing to take a drink of a glass fulled with beer.

The woman wrote: "She loves having [a] taste of mummy's beer #drinkup," alongside a laughing emoji and two hearts.

But the lighthearted post enraged some fellow parents who slammed the mum's actions, with some saying social services could get involved, reported The Daily Mirror.

One commented on the now deleted post, saying: "Do you want your child to be taken into care? Cause even if this is a joke someone will see this and report it to social services… delete it now or you'll regret."

A second said: "What especially p***es me off about this is you’re practically shoving the glass in her face."

Another wrote: "It’s not a cute photo, she looks confused, it's really sad actually that you think this [is] acceptable."

A fourth raged: "Don’t let her drink that for god’s sake!! What the hell."

But the mum's hit back defending her actions saying her child was only having a mouthful of beer - not "shooting heroin".

She even said her own mum let her "drink a little" and it had never done her any harm.

She said: "Clearly you've all never experienced being a mum cause if you did u would know that this isn't harmful to a baby.

"My mum used to let me drink a little when I was young and would put whisky on my gums when I had sore teeth. I'd never put my baby in danger so all of you go to hell."

She also said her daughter had "finished the end bit" of the drink and was still "here and happy and healthy".
