Mum bags incredible £238 worth of toys for just £20 in B&M Bargains £1 sale

It's the height of summer - or so it's supposed to be - and the last thing on our minds is Christmas, but one mum says she's already half way through her annual festive shop, and her reason makes a lot of sense.

Mum-of-two Abi Murray has been making the most of the mid-season sales - stocking up on bargains for her little ones come December.

And on her quest for the best deals, she's managed to pick up £238.83 worth of toys for just £20.10 in the B&M Bargains sale.

She even spotted some items for just 10p - marking a total saving of £218.73.

Sharing her finds on Facebook group LatestDeals, Abi wrote: "B&M £1 sale is on.

"Got all of this for £20.10.17 items for £1 each, one for £3 and one for 10p. Should've been £148 (if using two for £15) or £238.83 if buying individually."

The 25-year-old's post has since gained the attention of hundreds more shoppers, with 500 likes and more than 450 comments from parents that will 'also be paying a visit' to their local store.

Abi, who is mum to Alexis, two, and Kieran, nine, said: “I was very happy to find these bargains. It was a shock that they were reduced so much. It means now that I have birthdays and Christmas sorted for my kids, my nieces and my nephews.”

However, other savvy shoppers haven't had as much luck. Laura Verrall wrote: "None in my local B&M".

Charlotte Cox added: "Ours didn't have anything at all. But it did have all X-mas stuff out!"

Tom Church, co-founder of LatestDeals, said anyone paying a visit to their local store should download the B&M app, which has a handy price checker tool.

"Download the B&M app and sign up for free. Then you can use the barcode checker found in the menu to scan items in store and check for discounts ... even if it’s not been changed on the shelf yet," he said.

"People have saved thousands of pounds with this. It's also a great 'treasure' game to give to your kids as you do your shopping."
