A woman has been arrested after her three-year-old daughter was found alone at a strip club car park while she worked inside.
Officers were called to the Vegas Cabaret club in Lauderhill, Miami, Florida, at 2am on Tuesday morning after reports a 'confused' toddler was wandering around outside.
The girl led them to a Toyota Carolla which had its rear window rolled down for ventilation and had toys in the back seat.
Manouchika Daniels, 23, approached responding police officers around 30 or 40 minutes after they attended and told them she was the mother of the toddler.
It is understood that the girl had been in the vehicle since 11pm that evening.
"She admitted that she just left the child there briefly while she dropped somebody off, but later in the case we realized that was not the issue," Lt. Michael Santiago said.
"I mean, she could've been seriously hurt," Santiago said. "A 3-year-old is especially vulnerable in this type of situation. You have traffic flow on University Drive and it's dark."
The girl has since been taken from her mother and was put into the custody of Child Protective Services.
Police arrested Daniels and took her to nearby Broward County jail where she is being held without bail.
She appeared before a judge on Thursday and was formally charged with child neglect.
