A woman was left baffled after being fined £85 for spending "fourteen hours" at a short-stay car park.
Donna Caldecott parked her car at Ocean Plaza in Southport on Monday, June 14, just before 6.30am.
Donna says she does this daily while she walks her dog along the nearby Promenade.

She left the car park around an hour later.
On Friday, June 18, she received a letter from Horizon Parking, notifying her of an £85 fine she must pay having overstayed at the car park.
Donna said: "I park there most days and have never had a fine. I'd have probably paid the fine had I not looked at the letter properly, through fear of being charged even more if I didn't."
CCTV images sent with the letter show Donna's car, a white Range Rover, with a personalised registration plate entering the car park at 6.29am.
A second image shows a white Range Rover, of a different model but with a similar registration plate leaving the car park at 8.34pm on the same day.
The second Range Rover, a different car, belongs to Donna's son, Tom.
Donna continued: "Tom had been and got a McDonald's - more than half a day later than I'd left the car park."
She says the letter only provided an email address as a way of contacting Horizon.
Donna added: "I emailed them and heard nothing for a week."
Horizon has today told the ECHO the parking charge notice (PCN) was issued in error and has been cancelled in full.
A spokesperson also said: "We have duly notified the Registered Keeper with our sincere apologies."
