Placing a lost tooth underneath a pillow for the Tooth Fairy is a rite of passage for young children.
In the morning they wake up to find a prize, treat or even cash.
But one mum was amazed at just how much money some kids get from the Tooth Fairy.

When Nicole Steel asked fellow parents on the FAMILY LOWDOWN TIPS & IDEAS Facebook group what the going rate was she couldn't believe the responses she got.
The 27-year-old, who happens to be a student dental nurse, never expected her post to attract more than 3,000 comments with various suggestions including leaving a chocolate coin.
She told the ECHO: "My daughter Isla, who was five at the time, was starting to get wobbly tooth so I just thought I'd ask other parents what they think. I had asked a few people and it was either a couple of pounds or a tenner - nothing in between. I remember getting £1 and a pick n mix for my first tooth.
"I think the most surprising answers were comments saying they give £20 for their first tooth! In the end, I bought her a set off ebay for £7, with a letter from the Tooth Fairy it was so cute and she loved it. I also gave her a £2 coin."

However, there were very split views shared on Nicole's post at just how much money was appropriate.
One mum said: "I gave £20 for their 'first tooth' then £10 for the second then £5 for every one after. I only gave £20 for the first because I felt like it was an important exciting milestone for them and wanted them to feel like it was really important."
Another agreed: "£20 first tooth £10 second then all others a fiver, I always buy mine a magazine and bag of Haribo too."
And one parent said: "£10 first tooth them £2 for every other."
Another defended her decision as the tooth was lost accidentally.
She said: "I gave £20 for 1st tooth as he was 3 and knocked it out after an accident we knew of a toy he wanted so he was very pleased to go get the toy with his own money. When his 1st tooth fell out on its own we gave £10, then £1 for every other, he's only 8 now so we still have a lot to go."
But lots of people thought this was way too much.
One mum wrote: "Sorry...who the hell pays their kids £10 for a tooth!? 20p in my day, 50p for a molar! I'd say £1 is fair game...do they really know the value of money anyway?X"
A second joked: "I always remember finding £20 under my pillow and saying to my mum "omg!!" she then gave my dad a dirty look and said “ the tooth fairy must of been drunk “ hahaha!! But normally it was £1."
Others came up with a tooth payment plan.
One dad commented: "£5 for the first, £1 for the little ones, £2 for the back molars," and another parent added: "We did £1 for the first tooth and then 50p afterwards. Our son decided to save the money up.
Finally one woman joked: "From the responses in here I'm going to hold an emergency meeting with my parents for all the money they've done me out of! I got 50p per tooth!"
