A mum-of-two who "idolised her children" was found dead at her home in Wirral.
Laura Steed, 37, who had previously suffered with anxiety and depression, took her own life earlier this year, an inquest was told.
The civil servant was found by emergency services who forced entry to her home on Daffodil Road, Claughton, Wirral, where she was tragically found dead.
Liverpool Coroner's Court heard how Ms Steed had a history of mental health struggles and had suffered domestic violence from a past relationship, which was known to police.
On January 23, Ms Steed was found in her home after her mum Denise had raised concerns after not being able to contact her.

The 37-year-old had been staying with her mum, but shortly before her death, she asked to be taken back to her own home.
Ms Steed, who had a teenage son and another two-year-old child, had left a handwritten note which revealed her intention to take her own life.
It also mentioned her past experiences with domestic violence.
A cause of death of hanging was given and a conclusion recorded of suicide.
At yesterday's inquest in Kirkdale, mum Denise said: "Laura was very outgoing, had a loving heart and would help anybody.
"She used to up-cycle furniture, make jewellery and cards.
"She idolised her children."
Coroner Anita Bhardwaj said: "I get the impression Laura was very articulate and intelligent, I can see that clearly from the way she writes.
"I can also see she clearly dearly loved her children."
Mum Denise said: "We were a very close family," and her brother Neil added: "She was very outgoing and an artistic person."
In conclusion, Ms Bhardwaj said: "It is more likely than not, Laura intended to take her own life.
"It is unclear if the violence she endured influenced her decision."
