Mum, 28, dies suddenly after dropping off children at school

A young mum died suddenly after returning home from dropping her son off at school.

Megan Creevy shouted for help from the doorway of her Anfield home shortly before she collapsed at her front door on September 7, Liverpool Echo reports.

The 28-year-old had returned home to do some housework and was in the middle of running herself a bath when she was seen crouched in the doorway of her home.

As a passer-by rushed over to help her, Megan had collapsed and stopped breathing.

The woman called 999 and Megan was rushed to the Royal Liverpool Hospital but she could not be resuscitated.

Megan was pronounced dead at 13.52pm that day after suffering from a cardiac arrest.

She leaves behind her partner of eleven years and three children including a son aged nine, a daughter aged three and a 14-year-old step son.

Megan's mother-in-law Jeanette Storey, 52, described her as a "generous and giving" person with a "bright, infectious smile."

Jeanette said: "She was loved by so many people and is missed by everyone who knew her.

"She lived for her family – her partner of eleven years and her two children, a son aged nine and a daughter, aged three.

"Her partner’s older son, aged 14, Megan treated as her own and they had a wonderful, close relationship."

A Just Giving page set up by family friends Tony and Leanne has raised over £2,200 so far.

All money raised will go towards the cost of Megan's funeral and to support her partner and children at this time.

On the day she died, Megan's partner returned home that night to find their house completely flooded from the upstairs bathroom and landing through to downstairs because the bath had been left running for hours.

Megan's cries for help were recorded on a security camera in her house, which Jeanette said made "extremely distressing listening" but was necessary in helping them to try and find answers about what happened.

A post-mortem into her death was carried out but proved inconclusive.

Following a further medical investigation over the past month, the cause of death was listed as Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome.

Sudden arrhythmic death syndrome is when someone dies suddenly and unexpectedly from a cardiac arrest, but the cause of the cardiac arrest can’t be found.

Megan’s funeral will be held on Monday 1 st November, at St Teresa’s Church in Norris Green.

Paying tribute to Megan, Jeanette said: "She had a beautiful, bright, infectious smile that lit up a room.

"She was always concerned if everyone else was okay. She was generous and giving - nothing was ever too much trouble and she would give anyone in need the shirt off her back.

"She loved animals in any shape or form and kept many different species over the years. She adored her four dogs, her ‘fur babies’ as she called them."
