NHS worker, 25, and daughter, 2, found dead are named by police probing 'murder-suicide'

A mother and her two-year-old daughter found dead in west London have been named by police.

The Met Police named the pair as Shiwangi Bagoan, 25, and Ziana Bagoan.

Homicide detectives do not believe anyone else was involved in the deaths in Hounslow.

The pair were pronounced dead at the scene in Old Meadow Lane shortly after police and paramedics were called around 4pm on Monday.

Detective Chief Inspector Helen Rance said: "This is a tragic incident. We are extremely saddened by the deaths of Shiwangi, a young mother, and her daughter.

"Our deepest condolences go to her family, friends and colleagues at this difficult and upsetting time.

"Officers are currently investigating the circumstances around their deaths, and inquiries continue."

According to reports the mum was an NHS worker and police are probing the case as a potential murder-suicide.

According to The Sun Shiwangi worked as an operating department practitioner for the University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

In a statement to the newspaper her colleagues said they were deeply saddened by her death.

While neighbours reportedly described her as "doting" on her daughter.

One neighbour described Shiwangi to the paper as "so lovely," adding she "seemed so happy".

The neighbour said: "She was lovely. It’s so sad - Im shocked. She’d bought bikes for her and her daughter last week.

"I just couldn’t imagine something like this happening. She seemed so happy."

Another neighbour reportedly claimed the mum had bought bikes for her daughter last week.

An investigation remains underway led by detectives from the Met’s homicide squad.

The force said that while the probe is still in its early stages, officers do not currently believe anyone else was involved in the incident.
