Caitlin Simm secured the bargain win after betting on Jet2holidays ‘Bid for a Break’ campaign.
The 23-year-old bid the lowest unique amount, meaning she bagged the seven-night stay for two adults and two children to the Hilton Dalaman Sarigerme Resort & Spa in Dalaman under the rules, Manchester Evening News reported.
Caitlin said: “I still can’t believe I have bought a 5-star luxury break with Jet2holidays for just 70p.
“I love going on holiday, but things have not been easy over the last few years, so this has come at the perfect time.
“I randomly chose the bid and luck must have been on my side.
“This will be our first family holiday, and we cannot wait.
“We would like to thank Jet2holidays for giving us this opportunity, and I’d urge everyone to get involved and place their bid because it could be you jetting off next!”
Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “In celebration of our 10th anniversary for Indulgent Escapes, we have given away two very special 5-star luxury holidays as part of our ‘Bid for a Break’ campaign.
“We would like to congratulate Caitlin for successfully bidding for our second Indulgent Escape, and hope she has a fantastic stay with all her family in Dalaman.”
Last week the Mirror reported how two pals learned they won thousands of pounds at the same time.
Friends Joanne Green, 45, and Suzy Hawkins, 40, are among seven Earl Shilton neighbours celebrating winning People’s Postcode Lottery , finding out they had landed £30,000 each at the same time.
Lottery ambassador Danyl Johnson presented their prize cheques which left the pair stunned.
Joanne said: “I’m in shock to be honest, I didn’t expect it all. I don’t know what I’m going to do with it.”
Suzy added: “It’s pretty amazing. It’s hard to explain, we’ve never won anything this big before!”
Suzy said the pair began to play the lottery after her father’s neighbours won a prize. When Suzy joined the lottery Joanne followed suit, she said: “I thought, I can’t have her win and not me, I’ve got to do it too!”
