Report: Cardinals didn’t reply to trade inquiries about Josh Rosen

If one were to have looked at social media over the last few days, it would appear imminent that the Arizona Cardinals will deal quarterback Josh Rosen in preparation of taking Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray with the first overall pick in next month’s draft.

One report even said the Cardinals have shopped Rosen, the No. 10 overall pick a year ago.

However, this does not appear to be the case, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. According to Schefter, teams approached Arizona at the NFL combine about Rosen’s availability. The Cardinals did not indicate he was even available.

Schefter report says that might turn out to be the case, but for now the Cardinals are busy with evaluating players for the draft.

This will cool the talk a bit. Rumors of the decision to draft Murray being a done deal and that a deal for Rosen would be coming before free agency begins were very popular and have been the talking point of fans and analysts alike.

The question still remains: Will the Cardinals pull the trigger on Murray and give up on Rosen so quickly? At this point, it is certainly possible, but nothing will be sure until the draft is much closer.
