Multiple power outages cause chaos across Dublin with many traffic lights out of action

ESB Networks have warned of a fault in Finglas and surrounding areas of Dublin.

The electricity suppliers are currently working to fix the fault, with people across the capital reporting blackouts.

A spokesperson took to Twitter to apologise for the inconvenience caused.

They tweeted: "We have a fault in the #Finglas and surrounding areas of #Dublin. We are working to repair as quickly as possible."

Customers in Crumlin and Poppintree are also experiencing a power outage with multiple traffic lights out of action.

Drivers are urged to take care when passing through the areas.

Traffic Management Centre tweeted: "ESB Power outage in Crumlin area : Multiple traffic lights are out in area approach with caution.

"ESB Power outage in Poppintree area : Multiple traffic lights are out (St. Margaret's Road) Take care on approach."
