Four people have been rescued from the River Lee in Co Cork after two people entered the water to help a couple in difficulty.
Emergency services rushed to the scene at Morrison’s Quay after the incident occurred around 7.30pm on Thursday.
Eight emergency vehicles were seen at the area including several fire trucks, reports Cork Beo.

Thankfully, all four people were pulled from the water and appear to have no major injuries.
A source said: “They are all okay now, responders managed to get everyone out okay.”
It is understood the couple entered the water after a disagreement, which led to two others jumping in to save them.
The incident comes following a “hectic day” for the city’s fire team as they tackled a huge gorse fire in the North Ring road area and also put out a blaze in UCC’s Kane building, where two people were taken to CUH with “non life-threatening injuries”.
