I am not sure if Michigan State fans have calmed down yet following the commitment of top high school basketball prospect Emoni Bates last week, but it’s starting to look like another big recruit could be on the way. On Monday, three 247Sports experts added Crystal Ball predictions that 5-star shooting guard Max Christie will be heading to MSU in 2021.
Brian Snow, Jerry Meyer, and Steve Newhouse of 247Sports all have Christie projected to commit to Michigan State with a confidence level of 7 or higher. Notably, Snow has a 93.56% hit rate with his predictions so this is looking great for the Spartans.
If Christie commits and Bates is able to reclassify to 2021, it would easily give Tom Izzo his best recruiting class ever as the two players would join Pierre Brooks on a loaded roster. Christie is the top ranked shooting guard in his class and the No. 12 player in the 2021 class overall.
