Multiple clubs show interest in signing former Nottingham Forest defender

It appears that former Nottingham Forest defender Adam Crookes is being eyed by a number of clubs this summer.

Crookes was released by the Reds, which was confirmed when the club announced their retained list for the new season.

The 21-year-old defender spent the 2018/19 campaign on loan with League Two side Port Vale, and left the City Ground without making a single appearance for the Forest first-team.

Valiants boss John Askey has already admitted that he would like to sign Crookes on a permanent deal this summer, but there is no guarantee of that happening.

Crookes’s representative, Vale legend Phil Sproson, has confirmed that multiple clubs have expressed an interest in signing the ex-Forest man this summer.

Vale have already made an offer to Crookes, but now it appears that two other unnamed clubs are keen on the defender’s signature.

"Since the end of the season, once Nottingham Forest made the decision that Adam was going to be released on a free, a couple of other clubs have shown interest,” Sproson told Stoke-on-Trent Live.

He added: "There is another concrete offer, plus Port Vale's offer and another club are wanting to meet Adam next week to show him around.

"I think it is a great opportunity for him. He's done quite well and he will get better, there is more to come from him."
