AFL is as Australian as meat pies and sausage rolls – but it’s also as Australian as baklava, spring rolls and moussaka. Since 1897, at least 200 AFL players have been born in at least 39 nations and territories outside Australia. At least 2,000 others have links around the globe.
This exhibition of photographs celebrates the legacy of multiculturalism in AFL, telling the story of known and unknown footballers, and revealing their strengths on and off the field.
