Bomb disposal experts have been working on a suspicious package found at a Muller Yoghurt site in Shropshire.
Police rushed to the dairy firm's facility in Market Drayton at around 10.10pm on Wednesday evening and local residents and locals were told to avoid the area while investigations continue.
A nearby McDonald's was then closed and the A53 - a major road between Stoke-on-Trent and Shrewsbury - was also shut to traffic while emergency services remained at the incident.
West Mercia Police tweeted that it was waiting for the arrival of the bomb squad to deal with the "suspicious package" which had been delivered to the Muller site.
It stated: "We are currently in attendance at the Muller site in #MarketDrayton, #Shropshire after a suspicious package was discovered.

"Bomb disposal experts from Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) have been informed and will arrive at the site shortly."
A large police cordon was put in place around the site.
The police Twitter account continued: "A 100m cordon has been put in place on the A53 from the Muller Roundabout to the Tern Hill Roundabout and the McDonalds nearby has been closed.
"People are asked to avoid the area and seek alternative routes."

West Mercia Police Operations & Communications Centre also repeated the request to not approach the area and tweeted: "Road closure, due to a police incident. Location is cordoned off to both vehicles and pedestrians, Tern Valley Business Park, Market Drayton. Please do not attend this area."
After midnight a tweet from North Shropshire Neighbourhood Teams for Market Drayton, Wem and Whitchurch then said that all the roads in the area had been reopened after the incident.
"All roads are open again near to Mullers location," it tweeted.
