Mukesh Ambani's grandson Prithvi Ambani starts school today; here's a glimpse of his first day at the nursery

In March, 2019, Mukesh and Nita Ambani's eldest son Akash Ambani tied the knot with Shloka Mehta, daughter of businessman Russell Arunbhai Mehta.

Almost three years later, their son and the youngest heir to the Reliance Industries Limited, Prithvi Ambani starts school and makes his first public appearance. The one-year-and-three-month-old was seen being carried by his mother, Shloka, who along with her husband had dropped the toddler at the school premises and later picked him up too.

A statement released by a source from the school read,"Prithvi Ambani is going to be ‘Educated in India’ and therefore, sending him to where Akash and Shloka studied at Sunflower School in Malabar Hill was a unanimous call by India’s richest family to ensure their youngest member gets a grounded, safe, secure but quality education and learning environment."

Furthermore, the statement said that Mukesh and Nita Ambani "have gone out of the way to ensure the security staff is discrete."

It further specified that Prithvi will begin by doing half days as a "gentle introduction to school life".

As per the release, the family is "extremely determined" to ensure that the youngest member of the family gets to lead a "normal life", which they acknowledge will be very hard, given that he will be "at the centre of national and international fascination as he is the grandson of Asia’s Richest Person and dubbed by his many fans, as the Prince of India."

Prithvi Ambani was born in December, 2020 and earlier the Ambanis had made a grand announcement stating, "With the grace and blessings of Lord Krishna, Shloka and Akash Ambani became proud parents of a baby boy today in Mumbai. Nita and Mukesh Ambani are delighted to become grandparents for the first time, as they welcomed the great-grandson of Dhirubhai and Kokilaben Ambani... The new arrival has brought immense joy to the entire Mehta and Ambani families."

On Reliance Family Day, addressing his colleagues in a virtual event, Mukesh Ambani had opened about his role as a grandparent and said, "Prithvi is the newest member of our family. Over the last year, he has brought boundless joy to our lives. I am sure all parents and grandparents amongst you have experienced the same joy."
