A five-wicket haul by Brisbane's teenage spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman has restricted Hobart to 150 in their Big Bash League clash at the Gabba.
The Afghani 19-year-old took 5-15 off his four overs, including the prized wicket of English import Dawid Malan, as the Hurricanes set the Heat a victory target of 151 on Wednesday.
It is the first time Mujeeb has taken five wickets in an innings in a Twenty20 match and it included a three-wicket over where he dismissed Keemo Paul, Wil Parker and Scott Boland in four balls.
Mujeeb's figures are the fourth-best in BBL history and the best since Dan Christian took 5-14 for the Hurricanes against the Adelaide Strikers in 2017.
Malan, the world's No.1 ranked T20 batsman, had a life when he was dropped by Sam Heazlett on 22 but the miss didn't prove too costly for the Heat when he was clean bowled by Mujeeb for 39.
Heazlett wasn't the only Heat player to drop a catch with Jack Wildermuth spilling an absolute sitter from South African veteran Colin Ingram (24 off 21) that left the Brisbane fans stunned.
Singapore international Tim David provided some late fireworks, belting three sixes in his 17-ball 36 before being bowled by impressive young Heat quick Xavier Bartlett (2-22).
The teams played each other at the same venue on Sunday, with the Heat emerging victorious by four wickets on that occasion.
The hero of that night was English all-rounder Lewis Gregory, who took three wickets on his Heat debut.
It was a different evening with the ball for the 28-year-old this time however, conceding 38 runs off his three wicketless overs which included an embarrassing no-ball when he slipped at the bowling crease.
