Muizz Mustapha eligibility for Hull KR meeting with Leeds Rhinos explained

Hull KR prop Muizz Mustapha is free to face parent club Leeds Rhinos on Friday night.

The 21-year-old joined Rovers from Leeds on a season-long loan but there is no clause in the deal to prevent him from playing in the two Super League meetings between the sides.

Mustapha has played in KR’s past three games after missing the start of the campaign with a minor knee issue, matching the number of appearances he made for the Rhinos in his two years with the first team.

The Leeds academy product is set to come off the bench again this week and he will be highly motivated to make an impression.

Mustapha signed a new two-year contract with the Rhinos before moving to Craven Park but it is understood Rovers have the option to turn the loan into a permanent deal.

He has made a positive impression in his early outings for the Robins, adding a spark off the bench with his aggression and enthusiasm.

Fellow front-rower Korbin Sims will be unavailable after sustaining a second concussion in three matches in Friday’s win over Huddersfield Giants, while Ben Crooks is undergoing a scan on an ankle issue today.

Ryan Hall is set to face Leeds for the first time since ending his 11-year spell with the club in 2018.
