A man has been rushed to hospital after a road accident involving a motorbike and a car in Muirhouse.
Emergency serves were called to Muirhouse Parkway after reports of a serious smash between two vehicles, a Yamaha motorcycle and Nissan Juke, at around 6pm on Saturday.
The road was closed by police while medics saw to a 20-year-old man who had been seriously injured.
He was rushed to hospital by ambulance.
Police enquiries into the incident are ongoing, and a spokesperson added: "A 20-year-old man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a road collision in Edinburgh.
"The incident happened on Muirhouse Parkway at around 6pm on Saturday 17 August when a Yamaha motorbike collided with a Nissan Juke."
They are urging any witnesses, or anyone with information about the crash, to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 3408 of 17 August.
