A 57-year-old man has been found dead within a flat in Muirhouse, with police currently on the scene.
Officers were called to the property at Muirhouse Park, in the north of the city, around 4pm on Tuesday, 12 January.
A visible police presence remains in the area, with part of the street cordoned off as further enquiries are carried out. A number of police vehicles are also parked nearby.
The cause of death is currently unknown.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4pm on Tuesday, 12 January, a 57 year-old man was found dead within a flat in Muirhouse Park, Edinburgh.
"Officers are currently at the scene carrying out enquiries.”
