NEW YORK _ The Knicks again pushed the Milwaukee Bucks.
This time they didn't suffer a late-game collapse.
The Knicks beat the Bucks, 136-134, in overtime Saturday at Madison Square Garden behind huge games from Emmanuel Mudiay, Damyean Dotson and Kevin Knox.
Mudiay, who finished with 28 points, hit a clutch 3-pointer for the Knicks with 24.1 seconds remaining in regulation to tie the game at 124.
Milwaukee had a 134-132 lead with just more than a minute left in overtime, but Damyean Dotson, who had an outstanding game, drained a 3-pointer to give the Knicks a one-point lead.
Pat Connaughton fouled Mudiay, who made the second of two free throws to put the Knicks up, 136-134, with 9.7 seconds left in overtime.
Milwaukee called timeout.
Eric Bledsoe drove the basket out of the timeout, but Mitchell Robinson blocked him.
Robinson then fouled Brook Lopez as Lopez attempted a layup after a jump ball. Lopez missed both free throws.
The final seconds ticked off the clock.
The Knicks, who pushed the Bucks when these teams played back in October before fading late, earned a big victory.
The Knicks lost Trey Burke to a sprained right knee in the first half when he came down awkwardly on his leg after attempting a layup.
But even with Burke out, Frank Ntilikina stayed glued to the bench the entire game.
Knicks rookie Kevin Knox had arguably his best game of the season, scoring 26 points on 9-for-20 shooting, including 5-for-12 from 3-point range.
Giannis Antetokounmpo finished with 33 points for Milwaukee.
"The Greek Freak" came into the day averaging 27.3 points, 12.9 rebounds and six assists per game while shooting 57.7 percent from the field. He scored 31 points against the Knicks back in October.
When asked before the game what the Knicks could throw at Antetokounmpo to slow him down, Fizdale was ready to try anything.
"You got a tractor? A tank?" Fizdale joked. "I mean obviously we can throw schemes at him and stuff like that but the guy is, right now, to me, he's the best player in the league. He's playing at the best highest level. You've got to throw the whole house at him."
Fizdale put Noah Vonleh on Antetokounmpo, and he did a solid job. Antetokounmpo went into halftime with 12 points on 3 of 5 shooting.
Still, the Bucks have one of the top offenses in the NBA. They're a tough team to slow down.
The Knicks saw that on Saturday.
They took a 71-70 lead on a short jumper from Enes Kanter just more than three minutes into the third quarter. But the Bucks then reeled off 17 straight points until Knox drained a 3-pointer to stop the run.
The Knicks chipped away and pulled to within four points by the end of the period after Allonzo Trier made a layup in transition.
Less than a minute into the fourth, Knox missed a 3 but Robinson got the put-back to make it a two-point game.
Milwaukee regained a 10-point lead, but the Knicks continued to hang around.
A layup from Vonleh with just more than a minute left cut the Knicks' deficit to two points before Knox grabbed a crucial rebound off a Bucks miss on the other end.
Malcolm Brogdon then fouled Tim Hardaway Jr. as Hardaway went for a layup.
Hardaway made one of two to bring the Knicks to within one before Antetokounmpo made a reverse layup with 41.4 seconds left to put Milwaukee back up by three.
Not for long.
Mudiay drained a 3-pointer with 24.1 seconds left to tie the game at 24.1, eliciting a roar from the crowd as the Bucks called a timeout.
Out of the timeout, Antetokounmpo attempted an off-balanced shot from the lane and missed, sending the game to overtime.
