A popular city centre pub has announced it will be temporarily closing ahead of Christmas.
The Caledonia, in the Georgian Quarter on Caledonia Street, took to its Facebook page to confirm the news to followers.
Sharing a text image which reads, "Sorry, we're closed. Back open Thurs 30th Dec", the pub penned a detailed message to ensure its regulars are aware of the news.

The coronavirus pandemic has had a major impact on the hospitality industry, and has in some instances led to the permanent closure of independent shops, businesses, restaurants and more.
The Caledonia wrote: "Due to multiple factors affecting our team The Caledonia has had to close temporarily. It’s a shame we won’t be able to spend Xmas with our locals & regulars but it’s the best choice for us to preserve our teams physical & mental well-being. If restrictions are not introduced we will re-open Thursday 30th Dec."
The post continued, citing an "absence" of support, adding: "In the absence of meaningful government support & with the downward trajectory of trade since the beginning of December we have very little cash reserves left.
"We will be using all our resources to support our team & preserve the future of the Cali. Without people, you’re nothing."
Followers keen to show their support during these difficult times were directed to tip the team, or to buy a gift card.
The Caledonia aims to reopen on December 30.
