Liverpool ONE shoppers will have noticed already that a firm favourite closed its doors several weeks ago - and now we know why.
Pull & Bear, on the upper level of South John Street, closed suddenly last month leaving shoppers wondering why.
Signage in the store windows indicated the shop would be undergoing a refurbishment - but now the full extent has been revealed.
Liverpool ONE has confirmed the store will be the first in the UK and Ireland to be designed with the brand’s new 18, 1 concept.
The unit will expand to 10,118sq ft and offer Pull & Bear’s entire collection of menswear and womenswear - and even have an entire section dedicated to shoes.
The 18, 1 concept will feature an interactive catwalk as an alternative to a window display, giving the store a whole new look.
A spokesperson for Pull & Bear said: “We have a very strong trading history in Liverpool ONE, with the destination attracting significant volumes of young consumers.
“Consequently, it was the ideal location in which to upsize and debut our 18,1 concept in the UK and Ireland.”
Pull & Bear is expected to reopen in late August.
Alison Clegg, director of asset management at Grosvenor Europe, said: “Liverpool ONE is known for its cachè of popular international brands and focus on fashion, and we are thrilled to secure Pull&Bear’s first 18,1 concept store in the UK.”
