Much-loved Liverpool Italian restaurant's new site that will save Tier 3 lockdown

When one of Liverpool's most in-demand restaurants launched a delivery service to help feed customers during lockdown I knew I had to try it out.

I can't hide my love for Casa Italia, I've been visiting its restaurant for years and I'm yet to have a bad meal there.

The team manage to serve dishes that taste home cooked and fresh no matter how busy its restaurant has been each time I've visited. It is also one of the few Italians that always managed to make Pasta Arrabiata as spicy as I like too.

As I'm sure most Casa fans are aware now at the peak of lockdown when restaurants and all non-essential businesses were forced to close, its team decided to start a delivery service.

Based out of a unit on Regent Road, still close to the city centre, the Casa Italia team were able to make fans their favourite dishes to be eaten at home.

It proved so popular, even despite the fact restaurants are now allowed to be open, its team have continued to run its delivery service.

Last weekend, I decided to give it ago having missed Casa since the coronavirus pandemic began.

I ordered the All'amatriciana pasta which comes in a tomato sauce with bacon, onion and chilli and I added extra chillis with it.

We also ordered Casa's chicken and mushroom pizza, its meat feast pizza and a garlic bread too. We ordered on a Saturday and were initial told our order would be around 90 minutes, which was disappointing.

However, our ordered arrive so much faster - in around 45 minutes.

All meals were piping hot when they did arrive and the presentation was great. The food itself tasted just like it does at Casa's restaurant, I even think the portion of pasta might have been slightly bigger.

For anyone wanting to give Casa's delivery a try I would definitely recommend it. You can also collect too.

Casa Italia's restaurant in the city centre is still open too, but for those who don't feel comfortable heading out for something eat I'd definitely try its takeaway. I can't wait to order again.
