Diamantis has also written a personal message on the restaurant’s website announcing the permanent closure of the Bacchus Taverna.

The message also explains the reason for the closure of the restaurant.

The note reads: “I am retiring and the restaurant is now closed. I would like to thank all my customers for their loyal support over the years.

“I’m sad to see the restaurant close but the time is right to move on. Best wishes, Diamantis.”

Bacchus Taverna had achieved an overall rating of 4.5 on TripAdvisor.
