Much-loved city centre café Muster Custom Coffee is closed but it's not all bad news

City centre favourite Muster Custom Coffee has closed its doors - and reopened with a new outlook.

The café, which is considered to be a hidden gem tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Liverpool ONE, is now officially Argyles Coffee and Wine.

Adjacent to Campbell Square, the café initially opened in 2016 before being taken over by owner Thomas Carroll last year.

The change comes after the business was granted a license from Liverpool City Council to sell craft beer and wine alongside food, coffee and cakes.

The cafe announced the change on Instagram, posting on image of the new signs outside and said: “We are excited to reveal our new name Argyles Coffee and Wine.

“We hope you like it and will continue to show us your support.

“We have lots of exciting changes coming in the next few months we can’t wait to share with you all!”

Since its rebranding, Argyles Coffee and Wine has announced a range of changes, including quirky speed dating events, afternoon tea, cocktails, film screenings and a boozy bottomless brunch.

The cafe is still serving old favourites such as American-style pancakes and its popular milkshakes topped with whipped cream and a chocolate bar.

Argyles Coffee and Wine is open until 6pm daily.
