The girl group previously took the title in 2015 and 2016.

The Cuban-American singer, 21, beat Ariana Grande to victory in several categories and used one of her speeches to pay tribute to the No More Tears Left To Cry singer.

She said: “This has just been such an amazing year. Last year I performed in the EMAs and I was peeing myself.

"I love my fans so much. I know what it's like to be a fan. I know how special that bond is. I love you. I see you. I feel so lucky to even be here.

"Shout out to my wife Ariana, who was also nominated [for Best Video].”

Other winners on the night included Marshmello, Dua Lipa, Nicki Minaj, Shawn Mendes and Global Icon Janet Jackson.

Little Mix opened the show with a performance of Woman Like Me with US rapper Minaj.

It came days after their performance on The X Factor was marred by accusations of “miming” . The song also hit the headlines after Cardi B later claimed that she was approached to collaborate before Minaj, forcing Little Mix to deny the claims.
