MTK Global confirms back-to-back shows for Belfast on April 24 and 25

MTK Global has confirmed back-to-back #MTKFightNight shows in Belfast for the end of next month.

The two shows, which will be staged at The Europa Hotel and Ulster hall, will be held on Friday, April 24 and Saturday, April 25.

The Friday night show at The Europa Hotel will be streamed worldwide on iFL TV.

And Saturday’s huge bill at the Ulster Hall will be broadcast live on ESPN+ in the USA in association with Top Rank and on iFL TV worldwide.

The Ulster Hall event will star some of the island’s hottest talent with unbeaten Belfast fighter Sean McComb going up against former WBO lightweight champion Craig Evans.

McComb announced he was moving down to lightweight after claiming a convincing win over Mauro Maximiliano Godoy at the Ulster Hall earlier this month.

Unbeaten Naas lightweight Gary Cully will go up against Maxi Hughes, while Pierce O’Leary, James McGivern, Paul McCullagh and Fearghus Quinn are also on the Ulster Hall bill.

The Europa Hotel card will see the likes of Paddy Gallagher, Padraig McCrory, Callum Bradley, Ruairi Dalton, Sean Duffy and Dee Sullivan in action.

MTK Global Professional Development Coordinator Jamie Conlan said: “This is fantastic news for MTK Global, for the city of Belfast and all the fighters involved.

“Every show we’ve done in Belfast lately has sold out quickly so we’ve got to the stage where we need to put on an entire weekend of action to ensure all the talent gets shown.

“Fans will also have a chance to see their favourites. Needless to say, tickets will be in high-demand so we advise all fans to move quickly in securing places at these events.”

Conlan believes the two packed shows will deliver “entertainment guaranteed”.

He said: “You’ve got unbeaten McComb taking another step up against two-time WBO European champion Evans and also newly-crowned Irish king Cully in a proper fight.

“At the other end of the spectrum you’ve got some of the hottest talent like McGivern, McCullagh and Quinn making their professional debuts.”

Further news of fights and fighters will be released in due course.
