Michigan State leads Indiana 21-14 at halftime. The Spartans offense has been up and down so far. Meanwhile, MSU’s defense has left plenty to be desired. Check out some of the first half highlights below:
MSU Passing On Point
MSU QB Brian Lewerke continues his excellent play this week against Indiana. So far he has two touchdown throws and 223 total passing yards. He threw an absolutely beautiful pass to Cody White for a huge gain and a first down:
Later in the second quarter, the Spartans were in the red zone. Lewerke was unsuccessful on two previous attempts to WR Darrell Stewart. Luckily, third times the charm. Brian Lewerke finally connected with Stewart for a gorgeous touchdown pass:
Right before the end of the half, Lewerke and the offense marched down the field. This resulted in a Darrell Stewart touchdown reception. Note, this is the first multi-touchdown game for Stewart. Add these stats to his ridiculous numbers so far this year. Watch his touchdown catch below:
Elijah Collins Finds The End Zone
RB Elijah Collins is finally hitting the end zone with regularity. This makes him an absolutely formidable weapon for Michigan State. At first and goal, the Spartans went to Collins for some spark. Watch Elijah deliver with an easy trot to the end zone below:
Antjuan Simmons Is A Monster
Junior LB Antjuan Simmons is an absolute beast. He has stepped up so far for the Spartans with two tackles for a loss. Watch him burst through Indiana’s offensive line for a tackle below:
