MSU legend Morris Peterson inducted into Michigan Sports Hall of Fame

Michigan State’s former star shooting guard, who helped lead Tom Izzo’s Spartans to a national championship back in the year 2000 was officially inducted into the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame yesterday.

Peterson averaged 16.8 points-per-game in that championship season while shooting a lethal 42.5% from three.

Flint native ‘Mo Pete’ went on to be drafted in the first round of the NBA Draft by the Toronto Raptors and he was able to sustain a professional career that spanned from 2000-2011.

Morris Peterson was joined by Grant Hill, Vladimir Konstantinov of the Red Wings, Diane Dietz, Olympic swimmer Allison Schmitt, Charles Woods, Dan Fife, Tom Wilson, Harry Atkins, and Mike O’Hara in the induction class of 2019.
