Morris ‘Mo’ Peterson won a championship with Tom Izzo and the Michigan State Spartans basketball team in 2000, knocking off Florida to win the title with the help of his fellow ‘Flintstones.’ He was named Big Ten Player of the Year that season in recognition of his excellent play, and he was given another honor today after it was announced that he will be inducted into the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame.

Peterson will join a stacked class this year. The Red Wings’ enforcer Vladimir Konstantinov, Michigan Wolverines’ cornerback Charles Woodson, Detroit Pistons All-Star and Olympic Gold Medalist Grant Hill, Olympic Gold Medalist Allison Schmitt, Michigan basketball star Diane Dietz, former Clarkston basketball coach Dan Fife, former Detroit News sports reporter Mike O’Hara, former AP editor Harry Atkins, and former Pistons executive Tom Wilson.
The Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be hosted at the MotorCity Casino Hotel in Detroit. You can purchase tickets for $25 here.
