MSU HC Tom Izzo still hopeful transfer Joey Hauser will get immediate eligibility

We have heard all the hype. We have read all the preseason rankings. Michigan State Basketball has been the talk of the NCAA Men’s Basketball scene this summer, and for good reason, but there is one story surrounding the team that I think has gone a little under the radar, and it’s also a story that I think could be the most interesting and impactful, and that is the eligibility status of Marquette transfer Joey Hauser. Tom Izzo commented on the story earlier today, noting that he is still hopeful Hauser will be able to play.

As some of you may know, players who transfer usually are required to take a year off. However, Tom Izzo and his staff filed for an immediate eligibility waiver for the talented power forward and, according to Izzo, that decision should be made in the next week, and he is optimistic about the results:
