MSU football only scores a dismal 17 points in month of October

Yes, you read that correctly. Michigan State football managed to score only 17 points in the month of October. This is no joke. Paul Myberg points this out when he notes Michigan State as one of his college football week 9 losers.

Here are Myberg’s own words:

Saturday saw the Spartans trail 21-0 at halftime in a listless, rain-soaked 28-7 loss to surging Penn State. To put this team’s offensive ineptitude into perspective: Michigan State ended the month of October with 17 points. That’s 17 points, added up, across three games; Stanford scored 24 points in the second quarter of Saturday’s 41-31 win against Arizona. The Spartans’ offense has become an annual embarrassment and coach Mark Dantonio can no longer afford keep ducking questions about the continued nosedive on this side of the ball.

The Spartans faced off against nothing but top ten opponents in Ohio State, Wisconsin, and Penn State. Yesterday, they dropped a discouraging loss to Penn State 28-7.

This is the lowest of the low for Spartan football under Mark Dantonio. Myberg is 100% right. Dantonio has to answer for this and take accountability. Fans are heated over this poor display week in and week out.
