I have to say, I have a slight bone to pick with our parent site, USA TODAY, as they released their College Football Big Ten Power Rankings this week and Michigan State dropped from number 5 after week one to number 6.
Here is their explanation:
“A slight dip for the Spartans this week, mostly because Western Michigan might not be as good as Rutgers – and that’s saying something. Still, the MSU offense having a revival in the 51-17 win could be a harbinger for success. If it is, MSU won’t be this low for long.”
Okay, they were pretty positive at the end so I can’t be too mad, and I won’t be, because I like my job here (thank you USA TODAY, you’re the best!). Still, it does sting a little to be placed so far down after what I considered to be a pretty strong couple of weeks.
Anyway, if MSU can prove themselves against ASU this weekend, they’ll be flying up this list in no time.
