Another college football poll, another incremental improvement for the Michigan State Spartans. Just hours after Michigan State moved up to number 19 overall in the Amway Coaches Poll, it was revealed that they also moved up to number 18 in the AP poll off the strength of their 51-17 domination of Western Michigan University.
Of course, MSU football was ranked 19th last week in the AP poll. That was a drop from their preseason ranking of number 18, so the Western win brought them back to where they started.
Look for the Spartans to try and head further up the poll with a win over Arizona State next week. They host the Sun Devils at 4:00pm ET at Spartan Stadium next Saturday in what will be a rematch of last year’s disappointing loss in Tempe.
