Michigan State Basketball and Gonzaga will compete in a private scrimmage on October 19th in Denver, Colorado, Brendan Quinn of The Athletic reported earlier today. This will be the second year in a row that MSU and Gonzaga have engaged in such an event.
Michigan State lost both halves of last year’s scrimmage, and you can read about that here. Gonzaga is only returning three rotation players this year but should still be a top-15 team in the NCAA.
Michigan State, of course, has been the preseason favorite pretty much since day one of this offseason. Most NCAA coaches polled already think Michigan State will win the National Championship.
Can’t argue with MSU playing a tune-up game against a top team just a few weeks before the season starts against Kentucky, but man would I love to watch this game.
