Today was a huge news day for MSU with the Joshua Lanford injury news, but, something important was lost in the sauce. Tom Izzo revealed Forward Joey Hauser’s waiver request was initially denied by the NCAA. Now, Izzo says that they will appeal and submit more information. Hopefully, he is cleared for the season.
Hauser can absolutely ball. He is a 6-9 Forward who played at Marquette last year. Hauser scores near the rim, from mid-range, and even beyond the arc. Last year he averaged 9.7 points per game an shot over 40% from three-point land. No question Hauser is a huge potential addition for the Spartans basketball roster.

If eligible, Hauser can have a huge impact on the roster. Especially with the recent Langford news. After all, MSU’s opening night starting roster is still up in the air.
