MSU alum Rashad Evans’ UFC Hall of Fame induction interrupted by earthquake

After a long and historic career in the world of UFC and professional fighting, Rashad Evans called it a career. In return, the UFC decided to induct Evans into their Hall of Fame for his illustrious 15-year career which included 28 wins, 7 of those coming by knockout and 2 by submission. However, I don’t think even the UFC would’ve guessed that Evans’ induction would have gone viral, but that’s what happened as a 6.9 earthquake shook the audience during his speech.

At the Palms Hotel, Evans figured out what was happening pretty fast, swiftly identifying the earthquake for what it was and, hilariously, he said:

“Earthquake, baby! That’s me bringing the heat!”

What a great moment from Evans, thanks to the quick reactions that made him so deadly in the octagon.

Evans, a former Michigan State wrestler, was a winner of The Ultimate Fighter 2 which catapulted him into national prominence. From there, he won the Light Heavyweight Championship over Forrest Griffin in 2008.
