A Mrs Hinch superfan has divided the Internet after revealing she puts her shopping bags in the washing machine.
Tina Knowles revealed to fellow mums and 'Hinchers' on Facebook that she regularly pops her Bags for Life in the washing machine on a quick wash to keep them pristine.
Tina even posted a picture of her bags hanging on the washing line to dry.
The cleaning fan told the Hinch Army Cleaning Tips Facebook page: "Shopping bags having a wash & dry quick wash in the machine with a dash of bio and a few drops of tea tree oil instead of softener.
"Tina's top tip was a revelation for a lot of fans.One said: I saw on tv that these bags harbour lots of bacteria. It’s a great to wash them ever so often."
Another added: "Great,never even thought about that."
"But not everyone was impressed. One man said his family gave them enough washing to do.
He said: " I get annoyed with the amount of washing two kids can make, I know they are bags for life but didn't realise I was committed to giving them a monthly spa treatment."
Another dad said: "what a fantastic way to waste energy."
But some were so impressed they immediately went to wash their own shopping bags.
One woman added: "Love this. I'm off to wash mine."
