Mrs Hinch's simple clothes drawer hack to keep items organised and smelling fresh

With the UK on lockdown many people now have more time around the house to get things done.

To help the nation with their organisation and cleaning duties, Mrs Hinch, who has an army of 3.3 million Instagram followers, has been sharing her tips, tricks and DIY hacks.

The cleaning sensation's latest post gave fans a glimpse inside her drawers, where clothes were folded immaculately and smelt fresh.

To keep her drawers looking tip-top, Mrs Hinch uses the Marie Kondo method to fold clothing, reports the Daily Star.

The technique means you can see every item in your drawer, so you'll never have to rifle through them again.

Ensuring the clothes also stay smelling gorgeous, the mum-of-one adds a tumble dryer sheet into the mix, explaining she does so for extra "freshness."

If you want to try the method, which comes from the Marie Kondo book, The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up, you need to follow the tips below.

1. Fold both sleeves inwards

2. Once the sleeves are tucked away, fold the top into a rectangle shape

3. Fold the clothing item in half lengthwise

4. Next, fold it in half lengthwise

5. Fold it for a third time lengthwise

6. When a piece of clothing is folded properly, you should be able to stand it up in your drawers

7. Repeat until you’ve filled your entire cabinet
