Hairs and dust in the carpet

Everyone knows to give your house a good vacuum, picking up all the bits and hairs that accumulate over time.

But, Mrs Hinch advises that every now and then you get your squeegee out for your carpet.

That's right, using a squeegee, comb over the carpet and it will lift up embedded hairs and dust that would just get matted down by a vacuum cleaner.

The mum also said the squeegee is great for getting in the corners and, while showing her followers the ball of fluff she had got up, she invited them to send her their 'hinching' [cleaning].

Marks on white doors

She told Holly and Phil on This Morning: "The thing is with white doors, you want to wipe away marks and not the paint."

Her tip was to use your favourite fabric conditioner with a scourer in a circular motion.

Blocked sink

Mrs Hinch advised viewers to use a cup full of soda crystals. Pour down plug hole and then pour down the same amount of white vinegar.

She said: "Leave it for up to 30 minutes, then boil the kettle and just wash it all away. I do it about once a fortnight."

Greasy cookers

Mrs Hinch is a fan of Stardrops The Pink Stuff for removing grease from the cooker tops.

She said: "Add it to the scourer side and it will literally rub it in and wipe away."

Mattress stains

Mrs Hinch said this was great for stubborn stains, especially if you have kids. She said: "Bicarb, sprinkle on area and rub in with Latex glove and then hoover it off after an hour."
