Mrs Hinch fans slam Shark 'anti hair wrap' vacuum as 'duff' after it clogs with hair on first use

A mum has divided opinion after revealing her 'duff' Shark anti hair wrap vacuum clogged with hair on its first use.

The mum shared a picture of the underside of the Shark head which seemed to show hundreds of strands of thick hair wrapped around it.

Posting on the Mrs Hinch Made Me Do It Facebook page she said: "Brand new shark anti hair wrap, first go through the bedrooms and this....have I got a duff one?"

Her post attracted hundreds of comments, with some agreeing their Shark did the same thing, with one claiming the vacuums are "anything but anti hair wrap".

She said: "Nope, they’re advertised as anti hair wrap and they’re anything but anti hair wrap."

A second added: "I have same problem with mine I just cut it off."

Another said: "I'm the same I just clean it every time think their comb is broken."

"No that’s what they all do. Just cut across with scissors. I think they are the best hoovers ever," added another.

A fifth said: "Mine is anti hair wrap and does the exact same. 2 girls in my house and it’s a nightmare. Have to take the hair out of it every day."

"Mine is the same! It’s a shame as I love my shark," added another.

However other mums jusmped to the defense of the popular brand saying the woman wasn't using it properly.

One said: "It says in the instructions don’t worry about hair build up it does clear. You can also clean your shark every three months! It still lifts!"

Other said they had encountered no problems at all.

One said: "I’ve got the same however never have this problem. 3 girls in our house and a dog! We have carpet and hard flooring."

"I have one, best vacuum I've ever owned. no hair tangled on mine," added another

A fourth said: "Never had this issue with mine, me and my daughter have long hair and loose a lot between us (surprised we not bald) fab hoover, wouldn’t have any other."

Shark say while the hair may tangle initially, the technology works so the more it is used, the more the hair is broken down.

Shark say the technology is a 'continual maintenance system' (Facebook)

A statement said: "The way our Anti Hair Wrap technology is designed to work means it's a continual maintenance system. The more you vacuum the more any hair is broken down and sucked into the dust cup."
