Mrs Hinch fans share top tip on how to dry clothes in winter without a tumble dryer

Drying clothes in the cold, winter months can be pretty tough - especially without a tumble dryer.

However, cleaning queen Mrs Hinch's "life-changing' hack is said to dry clothes "so fast", even when the temperatures drops.

Cleaning enthusiasts shared the advice on social media groups after being inspired by Mrs Hinch - whose real name is Sophie Hinchcliffe - and her lifesaver tips.

Facebook groups have been created by cleaning lovers in order to share hacks and help each other out - reports The Express.

On one such social media group, a user called Lucie Stepney asked: “How do people get washing dry without a tumble dryer in the winter?!

“We have so much washing but getting it dry is such a problem!”

Lucie’s post was inundated with responses but the most common suggestion was to use a dehumidifier.

Amanda Hayes-Egerton replied: “I use a normal clothes airer with a dehumidifier, it dries faster than my tumble dryer.”

Claudia Marcarella said: “I just bought a dehumidifier and it’s great, money well spent.”

Claire Griss commented: “Dehumidifier. We get bad condensation so have one anyway.

“I hang it in the utility room, shut the door and a load is dry in four hours.

“I do have a tumble dryer but dehumidifier is a lot cheaper.”

Judith Porteous said: “Dehumidifier - couldn't manage without it.”

Michelle Jenkins wrote: “I bought a dehumidifier a few weeks ago. Someone recommend to me on one of the groups on here.

“From Screwfix for £128.99 - amazing for drying clothes.

“I always struggled as there’s no room for a tumble dryer, put clothes on airer switch on dehumidifier - amazing.”

Elle Gee said: “Dehumidifier. Plug-in kind.

“Expensive but life-changing for washing, mould, condensation and heating bills.”

Louise March agreed with the other cleaning enthusiasts. She said: “Dehumidifier in the room where you’re drying the stuff - on a clothes rack.

“Done it for years it’s amazing - clothes dry so quick!”

Denise Dee Rigby said: “A dehumidifier is best. Stops your house getting damp too.”
