Mrs Hinch fans share simple hack to unblock drains - and it requires no effort

Clogged drains are a result of a build-up of product, hair, or dirt - and they are not fun to deal with.

No matter how hard you try to keep them free from the muck, over time, it will build up and prevent running water from being flushed down causing a pool of water at your feet.

One woman who was fed up with her bath taking so long to drain took to Facebook to ask for advice on how to unblock it.

She made her plea for help in a Mrs Hinch group, where she wrote: “My bath pipe has serious hair blockage. Tried drain unblocker liquid and powder but just no luck.

"It takes hours for my bath to drain. Are they any household products I can use?"

Group members were quick to share their tips, tricks and advice in the comments in the hopes of fixing the woman's problem.

Of all the comments, the most popular solution was to use hair removal cream to unblock drains.

And the easiest way to do this, many people said, was to mix it with warm water and pour it down the drain.

One person said: "Put loads of hair removal cream down the drain, it will dissolve all traces of hair."

Another agreed: "Yes, hair removal cream really works, absolutely amazing."

A third commented: "Use hair removal cream and leave it for as long as possible."

Someone else wrote: "I put hair removal cream in every once in a while. I get the cheapest one from Poundland."

You can pick the product up for £1 in Wilko.

Other Mrs Hinch fans suggested using baking soda and white vinegar as one person said it "works a treat."

And another added: "I use white vinegar and baking soda and leave overnight then pour boiling water down the drain."
