Mrs Hinch fans share 99p trick for 'totally obliterating' mould from grout

Keeping your bathroom completely mould free can feel like an impossible task - especially when it comes to the grout between tiles as it seems to attract it.

Mould occurs in these spaces because there's an excess of moisture, and it's often found around windows and in bathrooms for this reason.

Mrs Hinch fans have revealed their quickest and easiest ways to remove mould from between tiles, however, and it'll only cost 99p.

So, if your fans and dehumidifiers just aren't cutting it and the mould has already appeared, fear not, because it can be removed again to make your bathroom look as good as new.

A woman posted on the Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips Facebook group to ask for some advice regarding the removal of mould from grout.

She'd tried many methods to no avail, writing: "Is there any way I can get this black stuff/mould out of the tile grout? Most people have said I need to re-grout entirely.

"I've tried pink stuff, elbow grease, bicarbonate of soda, vinegar, Viakal, mould removal. Nothing budges it at all."

Cleaning enthusiasts were quick to suggest that she used the Astonish Mould and Mildew Blaster.

A keen cleaner commented: "Astonish Mould and Mildew Blaster. Can't recommend this product enough for totally obliterating mould from grout and bathroom ceiling.

"Smells strongly of bleach so open the windows. Leave for as long as you can. No need to scrub. 99p from Savers. Good luck."

Someone else wrote: "Astonish Mould and Mildew did mine and left it overnight, kept the room well ventilated and next day my tiles were like new. I just washed them down with hot soapy water. Hope this helps."

Another agreed, as they said: "Astonish Mould and Mildew remover. That should remove most of it. I always find Astonish amazing. Even got mildew out of fabric, and I’ve never been able to shift that."
