Mrs Hinch fans share £1 hack that removed toilet stains 'in seconds'

Cleaning enthusiasts have shared their tips on how to remove stubborn toilet stains.

Fans of cleaning guru Mrs Hinch, claimed a £1 item can remove those awful marks "in seconds".

The queen on clean - whose real name is Sophie Hinchlife - became a huge hit after sharing her cleaning tips and recommendations on social media and TV.

Gaining over 4million Instagram followers, Mrs Hinch has now inspired many who have created their own social media groups to discuss tidying tips.

One fan asked Facebook users how to remove "yellow" stains from her toilet.

Jen Glock said: “My toilet started to get slight yellow lines on it, I used Fabulosa toilet cleaner and it’s made it so much worse!

“I’ve tried Flash, Viakal and the Pink Stuff cream with no luck, does anyone know anything to get it off?”

Jen’s post was inundated with comments from Mrs Hinch fans.

The most popular response was to use Black Harpic toilet cleaner.

Julie Anne Turner said: “That is a buildup of limescale which has been discoloured.

“Black Harpic should help.

“Bleach won't do anything apart from maybe remove the colour but it will still be there.”

Jade Marie wrote: “Black Harpic! Leave in for a few hours then use toilet brush and it comes away in seconds.”

Natalie Jane Grant agreed and said: “Black Harpic 100 percent.”

Kate Skidmore replied: “Black Harpic and leave overnight.

“It may take a couple of attempts but it will get rid of it.

“I had it on mine when I moved house.”

Lorraine Jacqueline said: “Coke and Black Harpic overnight then brush with another dose of Black Harpic.”

Harpic Power Plus Citrus Fresh Cleaner can be found in Waitrose for £1.80 and in Wilko for £1.75.

Other suggestions from Mrs Hinch fans included using baking soda, cola and white vinegar.Heidi Akers Stillwell said: “Pumice stone. Removes marks and limescale without scratching the enamel.

“Ebay do ones with handles for the toilet.”

Jo-Anne Goodes wrote: “Bicarbonate of soda with a glove.

“Get all the water out and scrub it like that with vinegar.”

Cas Scola said: “Try white vinegar spray on or pour all over and leave.”
