Mrs Hinch fans share £1 cleaning product that's 'the best' for oily cooking stains

Passionate cooks will no-doubt love the process of putting together a delicious meal in the kitchen - the clean-up, not so much.

Oily cooking stains can be incredibly difficult to get off of surfaces, and can seem near-impossible to get rid of if they have had time to set in.

One person who was struggling with these stains took to a Facebook group where fans of Mrs Hinch share tips and tricks and agreed on a simple £1 solution, writes the Mirror.

They wrote: "How do I get rid of oily cooking stains from my kitchen cabinets? Thanking you in advance."

Many of the comments recommended a product called Elbow Grease, which can be bought from the Pound Shop for £1, B&M for £1.19, and £1.20 at Wilko.

It's simple to use, with the instructions reading: "Spray evenly over the surface, wait a few minutes then wipe with a damp cloth. A second application may be required depending on build-up."

Elbow Grease spray can be bought online and at major supermarkets (Amazon)

It can be used on fabrics, metals, and plastics, and is suitable for kitchen surfaces, carpets, microwaves, and barbeques.

Many people described it as "amazing" in the comments, saying that it "works great."

One fan wrote: "Elbow Grease is 100% the best", and another suggested that they could "get it from B&M bargains."

Another said: "Hot soapy water, Elbow Grease wash up liquid, and dry. Don't use harsh chemicals as it takes away the protective layer."

Recently, Mrs Hinch fans have also suggested another fantastic tip in which they shared a little-known washing machine drawer hack for banishing grime.

Many were unaware that you could remove the drawer of the washing machine and clean it separately. It can garner a lot of grime, so taking it out to clean it will help ensure your clothes aren't being washed in a filthy appliance.
