Cleaning your windows is one the most arduous household chores going, or at least it is for most people. But cleaning gurus have discovered a simple trick they say makes the "usually hard task so simple" and "effortless". So impressed was one woman who tried the tip, she went so far as to call it life-changing. And it makes sense given she was planning to replace her windows.
Thankfully, she no longer needs to invest in the costly repair after discovering a £3 fix. So, where have we been going wrong all these years? Well, it turns out that while many of us focus on which cleaning solution to reach for, the cloth used is just as important.
In fact, Mrs Hinch fans say they can leave their windows sparkling just using water, if they clean with minky's Glass and Window M cloth, which retails for as little as three quid.
Several fans realised they were all using the same "game-changer" of a product when a woman took to Facebook group Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips to share her love of the microfibre cloth.
She wrote: "This cloth has changed my life. I have tried everything on my windows to the point that I was going to change the glass. No chemicals. Just warm water then wring it out.
"Clean the window rinsing it out to go onto the next window and just leave the window to dry on its own. Don't wash with cloth in washing powder or anything else . Just soak in hot water then let it dry and reuse."
In even better news, the cloth also works marvels on mirrors, car windows, and counter tops, according to commenters. One person wrote: "Totally agree, it’s the only thing I use that doesn’t leave smears."
A second said: "So true! Absolutely love mine!" Another awe-struck commenter added: "They are amazing ! Best thing out there for windows."
And a different reviewer said she cleaned one glass panel with the cloth, then a second with her favourite window cleaner and an "ordinary cloth" and found there was "no comparison."
Praising the minky cloth she wrote: "OMG!!!! No comparison. Soooooo effortless. No chemicals. Amazing shine. If I missed a bit I could just go back and do that little bit and all around the damp patch dried clear with no edges to see where I had done a small patch. Perfect."
